# Software Update

Forces the latest macOS update to download and install on a managed Mac.

#### What It Does

Sends a command to automatically download and install the latest major macOS update. Once the update begins, it cannot be cancelled or postponed by the end user.

#### How to Use

1. Open the device, tap **More** and select **Software Update**
2. Review the update details
3. Tap **Proceed** to send the command

> **Important:** This may reboot the computer without prompting the user. The process cannot be stopped once it starts.
